Don't Forget About The Upcoming Primary Elections!

It seems that at this point of an election year people, even junkies like myself loose interest in the races for office being run; especially at the local level. Here in Salt Lake County we have two very important races being run on the republican side: The senate race between Tim Bridgewater and Mike Lee and the Salt Lake County Counsel race between Richard Snelgrove and Winston Wilkinson. I believe that the candidates are very different on the issues for both races, despite the fact that all candidates are relatively very far right conservatives.

Here are the links to all the candidates websites where they discuss the issues that they are running on:
       SL County Counsel

       Utah U.S. Senate

During the campaign for the SL county counsel race headed into the convention a month ago, I wrote an article discussing the pro's and con's of both candidates. Suffice it to say that I clearly favor Wilkinson. Here's the link for that post:  Utah State Elections- 2010; County Counsel At Large Race.

Remember that the Primary Election is on June 22nd and to get out and vote. But also remember to do your research. It doesn't make much sense to just vote for the guy you like at first glance. Ask others what they think, especially if these others have personally talked with the candidates in question.

Anyway, that's my blurb for the day. Not many posts these days due to the new job. Hopefully that will change.
