An Eventful Day

As I promised, although later than promised, is the apended post.

I had the distinct privalige of serving as a delegate to my local county party nominating convention. But I'm not going to go into a huge post when a newspaper article can give all the detail that you might want.

Interesting, Again.....

I just read an article about 207 new citizen sworn in yesterday. A big congradulations to them! But read what one new citizen had to say about the illegals in this country.

Interesting

This is a photograph taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.

Cool

Imagine that, being able to turn a red paperclip into a house. Amazing!

You may have heard of this, but it's just so cool I had to post it.

What Are They Doing?

U.S. lawmakers taking part in a protest outside the Sudanese embasy are arested for disorderly conduct.

I got some questions about this.

Why are they protesting? Why should they care about another country's affairs?

First of all, it seems to me that these congressman do not care very much about their own country than about how this country looks to other nations. And to answer the first question, I do not have a problem with them protesting, but to be arrested on disorderly conduct is unbecoming of a U.S. congressperson and such an offence should be punished with impeachment. It's all in the constitution if you want to read it.

Ubsured, No Respect

The "Star-Spangled Banner" with spanish lyrics. I don't know what to say, other than legal citizens of the United States cherish that song, which is an American song, our National Anthem no less, and illegal aliens and those that support them are stealing it, with intention to stir people up. They don't care how we get stired up, but it is a blatant attempt to make people angry, in my opinion. Isn't it enough that illegals(<key phrase), believe that they have the same rights as real, law abiding citizens? I guess not.

Crazy Stuff

Yesterday, a woman drove her SUV through a building, no less, allegedly to try to kill her husband. Aparently(duh...), the couple is going through a divorce. You can read more about it here.

Typical divorce for today......

English Language Hits 1 Billion Words

Aparently, if you spell something wrong, hear or say something wrong, or just make something up, you might get a "real" word or phrase in the dictionary. Check out this article to read more.

'"Buck naked" increasingly has evolved to "butt naked."'

^^^^That just annoys me to no end, how people take a cherished phrase and mangle it, though they may do unwittingly. But nontheless, they should stand corrected, and whoever is puting in made-up phrases in the dictionary should go back and take them out of later editions.

My Team Got Shafted

Let me explain my choice of words:

My favorite team in the NBA, the Jazz, who didn't make the playoffs, actually had a better record than two or three teams from the eastern conference that did make the playoffs. How does this happen? and how do we remedy this problem?

To anwser question the first: The eastern conference teams SUCK. The best team's records' in the easten conference automaticaly make the rest of the conference look better than they actually are.

To answer question the second: Replace all the eastern conference teams who's records are worse than that of some other western conference teams with said western conference teams.

If what I have just said is done, every team gets a fair shot at the NBA title.

P.S., forgive the excessive use of the word conference.

Another Day....

Yep. Just another day. School, work, and everything else in between.

Lets talk about the 'in between' then, shall we?

I'm a StarWars enthusias, or "geek", if you will. So naturally this means that I am somewhat of a collector of memorabilia, or "toys". But recently, I've been particularly involved in finding and pricing particular "items".

So there you go: a day in the life......

The Begining

We are at the begining of what I hope will be a successful blog. And by successful I mean read by more than three different people a week.

I hope you enjoy satire, or are intrigued by the way things look through my metaphorical eyes, because that is the way I write, biased and sarcastic; well sometimes sarcastic. I hope you will be able to tell the difference between serious and "trying to write a joke". Maybe I should make those into categories.....
